Michael Kiriac, PhD, NMD - Scientific Advisor. For 22 years, Dr. Kiriac was the lead researcher and director of the effort to develop nutritional solutions to alleviate diseases in livestocks in the former Soviet Union. A bioneer, he is the author of scientific papers and patents in the science and technology of growing and enhancing microalgae for animal and human health. He is the recipient of several medals and awards for the invention of Bio-Algae Concentrates. Founder and CEO of BioNutrition, Dr. Kiriac lectures on, and promotes natural medicine around the world.
Roland Thomas, BSc, NMD - president and founder. Roland is also the editor of BioNews, its monthly health e-newsletter, and author of the books “The Magic of Bio-Algae Concentrates” and “Awakening the Genius Within.” Roland has been a holistic health enthusiast since his first exposure to yoga and vegetarianism at the age of 14. Roland has studied and practices yoga, QiGong and Tai Chi. Roland received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Montreal. He also studied advanced nutrition, homeopathy, herbology, biochemistry and obtained his Naturopathy Doctorate from Trinity College of Natural Health, and PhD in Natural Medicine from International Quantum University of Integrated Medicine.
Linda Milon-Thomas, B.Com, CNC - vice-president and founder. Linda has been a holistic health enthusiast since her young adulthood when she was exposed to vegetarianism within her family and when she practiced yoga early on. She was encouraged by her parents to adopt a healthy lifestyle and to maintain a whole food approach to diet. She continues to pursue natural health studying and researching eastern nutritional healing, self-healing, aromatherapy, QiGong and Tai Chi. Linda graduated with a Bachelor Degree at Montreal's Concordia University, and has obtained her Nutritional Consultant degree from alive Academy of Natural Health and uses these skills to educate and coach our clients. Linda is always on the research mode when it comes to wellness and practices activities to remain healthy, such as: hiking, cycling and spin, yoga, pilates, swimming, walking and recently eccentrics.
Maureen Murphy, CNC - customer service manager. Maureen obtained her Certificate in Nutritional Counseling from Trinity College of Natural Health, and had previously studied Holistic Nutrition through Clayton College and through independent studies. Having a deep-seated interest in all things natural when it comes to the health of her family and pets, she has long held a passion for “alternative medicine”. As owner for nearly 20 years of a retail pet-oriented shop specializing in “holistic solutions for pets and people,” Maureen has researched and studied herbal, homeopathic, nutrition, Reiki, and other natural health modalities. She enjoys encouraging others to explore healthy alternatives to antibiotics, steroids and surgery, and to improve their own diet and that of their pets. She has studied and practiced Tai Chi and maintains a daily regimen of Qi Gong. She also enjoys walking/hiking, bicycling, gardening, flower arranging, wildlife watching and just about anything to do with cats and other animals.
